Okay, I'm not really a band. This is really just me messing around with 'home recording equipment.' My hope is that folks searching my name will happen upon this spot and listen to some of my stuff. I don't believe that I'll ever replace Slash (or Bernard Allison), but I think that I'm an okay guitar player. I hope that you'll agree.
Why this name?
Mostly legalities and genetics.
Do you play live?
Lots of jams . . . lots of jams.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
My grand hope is that the fat-cat record execs will simply become extinct so that there will be a gold age of musicians actually owning their own work.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh, HELL YEAH!
Band History:
I have been a semi-professional musician since my college days. I started out by playing jazz bass. Then I wanted a "job," so I got my Master's in English. Now I want to play blues again--on guitar. I am very open to any playing situation that involves my playing lots of stinging leads on my various electric guitars. I also like to write funny songs in the spirit of Spinal Tap. For, in the words of Tenacious D, "Rock and Roll is Bogus [in a good way]."
Your influences?
Buddy Guy, Thelonious Monk, Bach, Danny Elfman, Ted Nugent.
Favorite spot?
San Francisco and Pleasanton
Equipment used:
