originally in 1981 the band was called OASIS (we had it first)then as we lost vig, our bass player and founding member, the direction and name were changed accordingly.

from 1981-83 we played up and down the east coast of florida in a handful of dives.

george and i began as a duo called OCEANDRIVE, writing and performing mostly acoustic,voice, and flute compositions.after we each had a stint in other bands, we reformed as OASIS with vig on bass and joe on drums, which was a more jazz oriented music. after a time we became a trio as QUEST, losing vig on bass, and i added bass pedals to my duties along with guitar. at this point we became very tight, and fast. it seemed that we flew through the songs as the speed increased. our crowning achievement was a concept piece somewhat in the vein of 2112, a story with seven songs and narration parts to ;;link it together. we played this as a set live, it was kinda tough, a 50 minute song with no break...
