Crimson Tyde is a four piece band that has been performing in the United states for approximately 5 years. The current member line up consists of Chris Anthony (bass guitar and vocals), Bil Lema (Keyboard player and vocalist), Jim Powell (guitars and vocals), Sigi Mueller (Guitars), and Matt Kroske (drums and percussion).
Why this name?
Can't really remember. But we'll be glad to start a rumor about it having to do with a sexual exploit.
Do you play live?
We play live every chance we get.
We play all over the country and we are loving it.
It's the only way to live.
One of the best moments we've had was sharing the stage with a bunch of older big name bands that we were on tour with. Like Lynard Skynard, Nazareth, Jackyl, Molly Hatchet, ... And some of the newer bands, like Soil, Balck Label Society, ...

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We think that MP3s will change the industry the same way that CDs changed it from cassettes.
Odds are that Apple will be leading the way with the IPod.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hard to say. There are so many ins and outs to the legal aspects of the music industry contracts. Alot of what we've seen scares the hell out of us.

Your influences?
All of us have different influences.
Our drummer is highly influenced by Metalica. Our bass player if mostly from a punk and rock background, but he enjoys listening to Elvis when we're on the tour bus. Our guitar player has a mix of 60s and 70s, and current guitar gods as his influences. Our Other Guitar player is the youngest member, but is influenced by older bands like Led Zeppelin. Our keyboard player is trained in classical piano, but he listens to Korn and Sevendust, or you'll hear Cypress Hill or Beastie Boys ..... you just never know.
