Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico in April 5, 1986 Luis Oriel Torres, a.k.a Oriel knew at an early age that his inner passion and devotion for music was destined to be a motivational factor in pursuit of his dream to become a successful artist. His mother would write her own music and sing to her young son, giving Oriel a fond appreciation for songwriting and a good ear for good music.

When Oriel was nine his family decided to move from Puerto Rico to Chicago ilIinois, where he continued to grow an interest in music. His mother and father later encouraged him to participate in talent shows and school plays where he would then fall in love with performing in front of an audience.

Once Oriel and his family moved to Connecticut in 1996 his musical talent improved tremendously granting him the opportunity to be show cased throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Oriel’s lyrical blend of R&B soulful love songs with reggaeton beats brings a new twist to this reggaeton genre that keeps the ladies wanting more.

Oriel has done several large performances, including opening for, Hector El Father, Yomo, N.O.R.E, Big Mato, Don Chezina, Johnny O & Cynthia. During the spring 2006 Oriel along with other artist took a tour across Canada, as one of the first Reggaeton tours to hit the nation.

2007, turned out to be a year full of accomplishments for Oriel not only was his music popular in the U.S but also overseas where he was given the opportunity to perform in one of the largest touristic festivals of Inca Peru. Soon after such astonishing performance in Peru, Oriel was given the 2007 Outstanding Puerto Rican of the year award on the behalf of the Puerto Rican Parade of Fairfield County and the community of Connecticut. And it doesn’t stop there to end the summer Oriel along with other artist such as Toby Love, Sergio Vargas, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico and many more were invited to perform in Miami for another important festival representing the Independence of Columbia.

Now 2008 Oriel is taking his music career to the next level by officially establishing his own company known as Oriel Music Productions with many successful promises for the business new hot music just waiting to be released to the public for this life changing journey and the future of his young son.
