My name is Tony Dickinson. I play guitar in a band called Sylva (it's my primary band, and is where most of my musical focus is aimed), which is an Alternative Rock outfit with a Funk twist.

Other projects include:

-Shadow Cast [Instrument: Bass] (my primary band from 2003-2008, was my main music focus)

-Shame [Instrument: Bass] (the first band I was in, which we later took members from and fused with the first incarnation of Shadow Cast)

-Mephitic Miasma [Instruments: Bass, Guitar, Drums, Keyboards] (my internet-music project with my good buddy, Jacob Lacy a.k.a. Reaper Of Hate)

-Preserved Moose [Instruments: Bass, Guitar, Drums, Keyboards] (my internet-music project with Mike Morgado)

-Lords of The Eternal Annulment of Continuance [Instruments: Bass, Guitar, Drums, Keyboards] (the result of the fusing of Mephitic Miasma with Preserved Moose with a new additions, GuitarBizarre)

-A New Cover Band [Instrument: Guitar] (hasn't started yet, been planning it out for a while, line-up will hopefully consist of my fellow Shadow Cast bandmates, Travis Moberg and John Wilkins, doing Vocals and Guitar/Keyboards, respectively, with buddies Nick Layne and Ricky Shine, hitting up Drums and Bass, respectively. We will covering bands such as Muse, A Perfect Circle, Ill Niño, Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, Dream Theater and Megadeth.
Why this name?
Well my name is Tony Dickinson. I was originally going to call myself "Virtual Insanity Music" but that was taken apparently...Later I found out that "Virtual Insanity" is actually a Jamiroquai song, and I like Jamiroquai, yet I had no idea. I'm an idiot.
Do you play live?
I play live where I can, showing off in front of my friends or at Guitar Center, jazzing it up at my Jazz Band concerts, kicking ass in Drumline, or melting face in my bands.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's modern day tape-trading. I especially like systems such as iTunes, that allow you to preview bands, before you decide to buy their music. Plus, with a few clicks, you can find new bands easily. I don't care about piracy anymore. I do it, and the RIAA has pulled way too many dick moves as of late. Want to piss off all of your digital consumers? Do exactly what the RIAA is doing. Oh, and for the record, you can't pirate concerts. And I'm not talking about recordings.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would.
