Specializing in ragga jungle and dnb, Anomaly is not only a producer but also a dj in the Michigan/Midwest area.
Why this name?
"anomaly (n.): deviation from the normal or common order" One who strives to stand out from the rest, where the scene is stale and repetitive. I wanted my name to help in restoring a freshness to the local Jungle sound.
Do you play live?
Yes. Mostly around the Michigan area, but I am open to any opportunities that extend me beyond that boundry. At the moment, strictly dj sets but I'm working on a live pa that should be ready to show in early 2005. Won the capital area jungle dj contest (Lansing, MI) in 2003.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for those up and coming to get out there and show the world thier skills. It also closes the gap between the average joe producer that actually has talent, and the mega-millions record companies. It definitly levels the playing field for amatures that would otherwise get unnoticed.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if I could have say in what goes into my music.
