Kayla Kavanagh is a solo artist with a twist. The Irish multi-instrumentalist works across a variety of genres, as an electronica performer, guitar-based Singer/Songwriter, pianist, Pop/Rock artist and classical/contemporary composer.

The music graduate qualified with an MA in Digital Performance, where she began experimenting with live looping using an array of traditional instruments, wires and technology, journeying from acoustic to electronica.

During 2008-2009, Kayla performed a national tour, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and performances at numerous festivals across the country from her VW Kampervan.

Kayla's "one~woman band" shows feature numerous instruments including keyboard, guitars, electric violin, flute, hammered dulcimer, looping pedals and vocoder.

Kayla was featured on BBC Radio, with an interview following her EP release in early 2009. She is currently in the studio recording her first album "Stranger Than Fiction" with engineer/producer Nigel Pease, due for release in October. The debut album fuses her traditional roots with the live music technology from her stage performances.
