Solid Jive brings together four musicians who - in several bands - have been making their ways throughout the blue minded circuit in Flanders (Belgium) and Holland for the last twenty years.

One half of the repertoire goes back to the material of a wide range of blues artists, from Skip James to Willie Dixon, Magic Sam, Willy Cobbs, T. Bone Walker and Elmore James, to Peter Green and Greg Allman. The band is partial to the early Chicago-style. Furthermore, some of the favourite songs on the play list are obscure diamonds from artists like Jimmy Byfield or Thomas Davis.

The other half of the repertoire consists of own material and arrangements. In making up their own riffs and tunes, Solid Jive explores the limits of the classic 'twelve bars'.

The band has currently one demo CD out, called Morning Train.
