The Miscarraige Of Self Loathing
Lugosi's Needle is an extreme metal outfit based in Poughkeepsie NY who write challenging music (for both musician and listener) along with complex lyrics often telling tales of the darker side of the human condition.
Why this name?
Our band name is in reference to the late Bela Lugosi who after making tons of money for Holywood studios, was discarded and left to become a herion addict. The needle is in reference to what offered him his only peace of mind while destroying him at the same time.
Do you play live?
Many live performances in our local area and sometimes branching off into NYC. Perhaps our highlight was opening for Type O Negative to a sold out crowd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet (MP3) helps this band in getting our music heard on a global level.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would certainly still sign with a major record company...if only we could retain the rights to our music.
Band History:
Formed three years ago. Recorded two discs ( the most recent is entitled The Light That Failed ) and continue promoting this ensemble with hopes that someone takes notice.
