play lo-fi play hi-fi  good ol days
play lo-fi play hi-fi  whatever
this music cannot be catagorized as one genre. i have been playing so many different styles for so long, that i do not want to limit myself to one style of music. for years i was playing blues , funk, r&b, and had a burlesque show professionally in s.f., ca. but would always write original heavy rock and roll and do it as a fun project on the side. over the years all of the different sounds of music i have created have now melded into one style.
Why this name?
i combined 2 major elements of the superstitious side of american blues
Do you play live?
i play live now in southern california. i live for playing live. i have been doing it for over 20 years and have a natural feel on stage. the stage feels most comfortable to me than any other place on the planet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it allows a lot more music to be acceptable to the masses. it also makes you work harder to sift through the mediocrity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
no, major labels don't give a rat's ass about the artist. most labels make the artists do %100 of the work, yet they(the major labels) just sit there and collect %99 of the money the artist has worked so hard for.
Band History:
too much history. the band is me and whoever else cares to join me when i play live. i have been playing live since i was about 13 years old. i have been through many line ups as a side man, or the main guy. it doesn't matter. i just want to play.
Your influences?
my musical influences vary to several different degrees. i am influenced by the likes of jimi hendrix, stevie wonder, ludwig van beethoven, public enemy, radiohead, hubert sumlin, howlin' wolf, thelonius monk, ray charles, portishead, the beatles, t-bone walker, pink floyd, led zeppelin, frederic chopin, muddy waters, funkadelic, james brown, burt bacharach, sly and the family stone, oh soooooooo many influences
