Why this name?
In life, I feel like I am walking to a different beat. The apex of something is the highest point that something can reach, and that also sounds like point where a different perspective can be gained. So, the name symbolozes my distance from the rest of the world, and that I am on another plane. I also strive to maintain the highest caliber of musicianship with this rap shit, and hence, i am the apex...
Do you play live?
Apex has performed at Joe's Movement Emporium, Mocha Lounge, George Washington University, Bar Nun, Jaspers, Cada Vez, Tokyo Rose, University of Virginia, University of Maryland and others.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows the underdogs to build bigger fanbases without access to mainstream media.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
