The Larry Harrold Band is just me, Larry Harrold. I've been playing guitar in various band situations for nearly 30 years. I love playing the electric guitar. It's my second passion, next to my gorgeous (and very supportive) wife, Pat. All of the guitars, bass, and keys on the songs were played by Yours Truly. Many thanks to Smart Loops for the great drum and percussion tracks! NO MIDI!

'Cause it's my name.
Do you play live?
I love to play live. It's my favorite sport! :-) Over the years I've played in studios, churches, garage bands, and jam sessions from Colorado to Hawaii. Mostly I just jam with other musicians when I can right now. Our family business requires a lot of traveling between our offices in Colorado, Washington, and Hawaii, so playing in a regular band isn't really in the picture right now, but maybe again someday... :-)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, it enables unknown guys like me to have their music heard by hundreds or even thousands of people. I think it's great!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In a word, no. I play music for fun, and I already have a great job, so why would I want to change that?
Your influences?
I like a lot of different styles of music, but I'd have to say that I'm pretty much a classic rocker at heart. I've always greatly appreciated guitarists who have developed their sound into their own unique voice. Guys like Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, and Eric Johnson are some of my favorites.
Favorite spot?
I'd have to say that my favorite place is KKO's Restaurant & Bar in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii, listening to a local solo artist play music while I'm sharing pupus with Pat. :-)
Anything else...?
To all you young guitarists out there; keep practicing, and don't let anyone tell you that skill isn't important. The more skill you have on your instrument, the more you can enjoy playing, as well as finding more people that want to play WITH you! Music is one of the special spices of life!
