The Lights On Project is my vehicle for the expression of bluesy, melodic rock.
Why this name?
I made it up on the spot and I like the way it sounds.
Do you play live?
Studio only. I haven't played live in quite some time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is the perfect vehicle for music (and video) media. No more middle man in the sense of the brick and mortar music store or, for the artist, label and mangement. You can create killer productions in the comfort of your home for very little cash and use the internet to deliver your creations to the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, it's nice to have money you know :)
Band History:
Currently I am a band of one. I am a mulit-intrumentalist and like to spent time making tunes that move you to another level. I want the listener to feel as immersed in the music as I feel creating it.
Your influences?
So many...the biggest ones would be, in no particular order, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour, Walter Becker, Jimmy Page, and Ritchie Blackmore.
Favorite spot?
In the studio!
Equipment used:
Fender Jimmie Vaughan Strat, Kramer Pacer Imperial, Schecter PT, Custom Esquire, Charvel SoCal, Peavey Classic 30, Laney Cub 12R, Roland Cube
Anything else...?
Always looking for a musical project to expand on.
