Why this name?
Through the lyrics and the music, the entire vision of the world has been alterned, its not the same like the reality we live in,thus and the replacement of I with Y in the name, the serpent toungue that splits to lead to anothe reality, close the edge of sanity.
Do you play live?
We are a live band and ofcourse we like it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In the digital era we live in,the internet can be a great ally to a band that wants to be heard from international audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the contract is fair and reliable, sure, why not?
Band History:
Blynd was formed in 2002 with the original line-up Andreas from black horizon (vocals, bass), Louis from infection (guitar) and Andreas T. (Drums). At the beginning the band started playing cover songs in several gigs with a mixture of heavy thrash and black metal.
In the same year Louis and Andreas T. left the band for military obligations. The band was reformed in 2003 with 2 new members, Liras from infection (guitar) and Vakis from mild vertigo (drums) giving it a more particular style for the sound they wanted to put out. In the summer of 2003 the band entered a studio for their first demo, that has still not finished, managing to record only one song. Later on they played as a support band for Marauder (Greek band). It was the band’s first opportunity to get known better. In spite of the fact that the band was going so well Liras had to leave the band to study abroad. (The curse continues)
The front man of the band Andreas who was the only member left, got in touch with the guitarist Constantinos (Godblood) and drummer Andreas Koumis (Fallen Angel), asked them to join the band and it all worked out! With a new line-up and some great live performances Blynd defined their style in the metal scene hoping for the best…

Your influences?
Even though each member of the band has his own musical backround and history,we manage to compine our influences coming from the old Hard'n'Heavy stuff, with the agressive and raw sound of more extreme elements.
