I'm back 2011. Known as your one and only VIETLAO, that's who/what I'm known as. The master chef/big grubber is back in action with some hot spices and ingredients for y'all munch on. Let my words marinate deep within your soul and serenade you whole. Enlighten your heart, inspire you, give you another perception as you gravitate and follow along. Let it seek through your brain. I've been making music since I was 11 or 12 years old. It's been about 10 or 11 years that I've put my heart and soul into. Learning new things each day in this music game. It's time to elevate. Hopefully I can inspire others.
My style is versatile, I can lyrically get down on some critical lyrical stuff where I'm throwing in punchlines, multi's, similes, metaphors, and all types of wordplay. Or I can simply throw you some deep thinking, soul seeping poetic stuff. Maybe some hard on rapid pace or some grimy gangsta flow. The reason why I keep myself versatile is because I've grown up in different types of environment with different types of people. I've lived through it all, the gangster life, the heart breaks, family issues, happy days, the parties, the struggles and hardships, and the fun silly times just actin a damn fool bein silly. I incorporate a lot of experiences into my songs. I was influenced on Rap, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Rock, Electronica type music, Funk, Freestyle, New Wave, Alternative and Soft Rock...and the list goes on. I love all types of music, all types of genre. I love making R&B Tracks though, because a lot of people can relate..and we all know if you get a females attention it's a wrap. Females are usually one of the biggest supporter out their so I do a lot of songs for the ladies. R&B is my specialty. But I can go hard on some critical shiiet as well. I'm also always open for collaborations so don't be scared to holla!

All this couldn't''t be possible if it wasn't for my uncle Pooh that inspired me and supports me to the max. Also R.I.P to my other uncle who was a heavy influence on me, he was one of the best being a traditional Khaen player (Laotian instrument) As long as I'm doing music, the sound of the Khaen lives through me, and his name will always remain alive.

Why this name?
It has a long story behind it. The name was thrown my way since I was about 13. That's when shiet was real ugly for me at one point of time. Took that name and Flipped it. I was known all over parts of Minnesota, Sioux Falls, certain cities in Iowa and South Sioux Nebraska. I use to be a battle Emcee back in the days, I no longer keep up with freestyle and only do it for fun. I had many undefeated victories but those are the days of the past. Back in the days when I had my original Soundclick page I was recieving mad love as well as on AsianAvenue. Starting everything from ground up again. Back at square one.

Do you play live?
Only did 2 shows in my life. Music is my life, my passion, my soul and commitment. But I was young and dumb and was running around doing other things, when I grew up I spent most of my time working. So hey It's time I'm ready to do more shows. Wherever permits, I may just be there rockin the stage!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Pros: Helps you get your work out without having to walk around and promote yourself. Networking is a fine piece of idea and development. It's genius. You could promote yourself all day on Youtube and get discovered by huge artists and record labels without even having to be in the same place they are. You could be across the country and still get discovered. Collaborations are also beautiful. Internet allows people with talent to shine in the underground world and get respect and recognition they deserve that way.

Band History:
Making it happen everyday. 10-11 years of experience. Still learning more and more each and every day. The music world is changing and becoming more different as each and every second of each moment passes by. You have to catch up or simply end up falling off. Sure people love a certain style, but there are fresh fans and brand new ears out their that are already adapting to a certain style and sometimes don't want to hear your original style. That's why I keep myself elevated and inspired to keep up. I'ma stay versatile for as long as I live and do music.
