Mickey Jello is a one-man army producing House, Hard-House and various forms of Electronica. He is a native of Denmark, but moved to the United States in the summer of 2000 to marry his wife.
The music of Mickey Jello is designed for one purpose, and that is to make you dance.. so go on.. give it a go!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think there is a great sense of DIY around the worlds these days.. The Recording Industry wants us to believe the internet is destroying the artists as well as their art. I think its the other way around. We're seeing so many more people out there just making their own things. And I find that inspiring
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I like to keep my options open, but it would have to be the right kind of deal. Money is not so much an issue..its more of an integrity issue.
Band History:
Mickey Jello started out playing in bands at school, playing the keyboards to various cover tunes. Then later on, along with a friend, started playing with the incredible Tracker-Programs on the Amiga. Then college came around and much of that was put on hold. It is only as recent as May of 2002 that Mickey has picked up the Mantle (bad pun!) and started Producing again.
Your influences?
Anything that makes people dance, or opens their mind is an influence.
Favorite spot?
Home is where the music is....free ;)
Equipment used:
I use purely software programs and synths in my music. Fruity Loops Pro is an excellent program and the possibilities expand with every update.
Anything else...?
