Hey, my name is Arjun, I'm from Swindon, England. I'm 18 years young and have been playing the guitar for about 9, though I only started playing electric around 5 years ago. Before this I played classical, and got to grade 5, but by this time I got kind of bored with the style and decided I wanted to expand the whole shizzle.
After being in a band that was constantly changing for about 2 years, we finally settled. We had regular practices and we eventually made a CD with 3 tracks. Unfortunately, though we fairly far ahead of our competition, this band never got out and did gigs. It all sort of fell apart once we left school, due mainly to lack of enthusiasm and general contact with each other.
There are now 3 of us, each with solo things happening, though admittedly, mine is probably the least active. Mike, Steve and myself do occasionally practice together, for the odd gig, but more for personal enjoyment.
The band which is up on this site consists of ... me, mainly. With input from friends Steve and Mike, they're simply amazing.
I'm pretty laid back about my approach to music. I try to cover various styles, like Blues, Rock, Classical, Spanish, Indian etc. I've only really recorded a small selection of what I have in my head. Once I sort some recording equipment out this summer, I will start doing some more.
I also like to get others to perform in my songs, to give it something fresh.

Why this name?
My name. Arjun. And I live in the UK. It seems appropriate; I'm not great with names.
Do you play live?
I've performed at numerous occasions, mainly being on the Dhol (indian percussion).
Our annual outdoor gig at the Cricklade Duckrace involves a mention here! They even block off the road for us :-) 'Tis a good laugh.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think mp3 is great, it allows people to deal with music much more efficiently, and it allows people who would not normally be able to record their music to do it easily, what with home recording software too.
However, record companies have obviously suffered through mp3 downloads; but hey, what can you really do to stop people exploiting it.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe. I'd prefer to go into production if ever I was to go into music as a career; my own recording studio would be nice.
Favorite spot?
I went to Orlando when i was about 12, 'twas spiffing. I have great memories from there, the theme parks were awesome, the weather lush, the scenery ... lush. Just generally lush. The food. The women... Lush.

Not really, apart from that I'm interested in doing collaborations with anyone who's interested enough in me to ask. Leave a message on my board if you are!
