The Unusuals
The Unusuals consist of two DJ’s. Dj Les and Conrad. Mostly considered as a “Turntable Band”. Their music genre includes; Underground Hip-Hop, Funk n Soul (Breaks), Classic Hip-Hop, Dancehall, and whatever they feel will sound good while up on stage.

Mostly working off of four turntables and two mixers. The Unusuals bring a strong presence on stage while displaying their skills on the decks. As well as being well respected djs' they are also well respected producers. Pruduction of many diffarent artists can be seen at www.AOTAcrew.com.
Why this name?
Conrad. Our friend the "Janitor"(MC) helped us with the name. We give him the credit for coming up with “The Unusuals”. It sounded catchy and original. It wasn’t like many other turntable group names that always have something to do with a turntable or mixer. This name makes you think, "What is Unusual about these guys?" It gives people curiosity to find out.
Do you play live?
Conrad. Yes, We play wherever we get booked.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Les. People don’t want to by a cd of people they have never heard. So, what MP3 does it allows people to check some of the artist's stuff out before investing on him/her/them. It’s a great way to get artists known.
Band History:
Les. I think we have been together for about three years. We have gone through ups and downs but now it’s settled down to a comfortable position. We have done shows with names like Busdriver, 2Mex, Mission (Crown City Rockers), Zion I, Scarub, LMNO, Mr. Brady, Sup the Chemist, Mr. Lif, Aesop Rock, Akrobatik, Wu Tang and many others.
Your influences?
Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkies, Allies, Xecutioners, Scratch Perverts, Triple Threat, and all the old school dj's that paved the way.
Favorite spot?
Les. So far my favorite is Long Beach, Cali.
Equipment used:
four 1200's. Vestax 05,07, Vinil, and some creativeness.
Anything else...?
Support positive hip-hop. Stay away from the bullshit on the radio (hip-pop), Its bad for you.
