Through highly diverse instrumentation and numerous musical interests, Centric strives to fulfill every moment in a way that's engaging yet complementary to the environment. From minimalist acoustica, to more beat oriented live PA sets, to full blown epic indie electronic rock, no realm will go uncharted.

Band History:
Centric emerged in Charlotte, NC out of the ashes of a fallen rock band. Surrounded in the digital realm of a modern banking city, the pursuit of pure rock no longer seemed to have the same kind of relevance. Somewhere between seeing a live video of Air and a phenomenal live performance by Lake Trout at the local Visualite Theatre, a new direction was found: live electronic music. Combining the raw energy of mighty rockers like Fugazi with the textural beauty of synthesized wonders like Boards of Canada.

Over the next two years the project morphed and grew as it traveled from Charlotte to Hoboken, NJ for a brief sampling of life inside the NYC music industry, and finally settled into the cultural oasis of Charlottesville, VA. In the midst of all these travels, there were numerous experiences, and viewpoints on the world acquired which would become highly influential on the songwriting. Bursting with inspiration, the focus suddenly shifted from a solely live outlet into a fulltime recording project. Centric locked into the home studio in December 2002 to begin recording the first tracks for the debut album. By March of 2004, a mesmerizing epic biography had been created.
