I am a songwriter and I write because it is there and I can. I write a mixture of silly love songs and social comment as I think we need both.
Why this name?
It's just my name
Do you play live?
Very Very occasionally but not the six gig a week grind we used to do, so when I do it I have a good time that is everything now.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well I got back into music because of the net I wound up on this news group Rec music makers songwriters and I was just hanging out there and I started to critique a few songs posted there, they have this challenge thing where every one writes a song to the same title and see what happens, I decided to give it a go picked up the guitar and out came “Fallen Trees” so I posted it on the group made some edits from suggestions and then recorded it, the guitarist on this track is Michael Wicks who I have played in bands with on and of for 30 years so it was just like old times the song got picked up by Linux Tag Germany and ended up on the Open Music CD and that was all the net I have written some co writes with writers in the States and Finland
I think it’s great and I heard some fabulous music out there so that is great too.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, but I will of course always be happy to write for others, and I own my own publishing, but basically what we are doing is niche stuff so that isn't really a consideration.
Band History:

Gary Yeomans lives in Sydney Australia. He started his career in New Zealand, working solo as a folk rock singer Sunday to Wednesday and fronting a five piece rock band Thursday through Saturday.

The song writing interest really started on moving to Sydney where he continued to play the club and pub circuit. “ I can still remember the first time I heard something of mine on the radio “ says Gary “it was actually a country song which is not my normal thing, but I had a request from a publisher I was writing on assignment for, it all happened quite quickly, all of a sudden I was just doing it.”

In the late eighties Gary took a break from music to concentrate on business interests, however he kept his hand in by writing the music for TV adds and audio visuals he produced.

On coming back to music Gary installed a hard disk recording studio at home
