Started in Late 2004, C.O.D.A. or Cult of Dismembered Angels began as a thought of Jon and Carolina's. The two were discussing perhaps starting a Death Metal band because of their interest in the music (thanks to soundclick), listening to bands like 'Coathanger Abortion' and 'Primate (extreme death metal)'. They began looking for more additions to the band. Since Jon wanted the dual harmonies of 'Avenged Sevenfold' and 'Killswitch Engage', he recruited Tom Reid. And since Death Metal usually involves stringed instruments he looked to Ana Mallozzi. Carolina then began to write the lyrics to "Decapitated Monkey Fetus", "Ritualistic Slaughter of the Mind", and "Spawn of Shameful Venegance". While Jon wrote the music. They also incorporate the talent of their peers into their songs, featuring such artists as Dave Hughes with shredding guitar, and Dave Monica (Boy To Choose) with Emo Interludes. The band has yet to fully meet together but they do intent to begin playing out once the album is underway.
