Why this name?
Actually my band name was given to me by birth and Deyzavoo was a recording artist in search of management.
Do you play live?
Actually I have 31 songs on BMI.com. I have not played live in a long time, but if you get me in the studio you will get a hit or two. I am always in the Studio with Pfunk/C7 of the We Us production Clique in Harlem. I keep in gritty so I am always in the pj's. That is where me and Barry B made some memorable hits.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has helped independent artists get the exposure they would have otherwise not received due to the political obstacles of the music business. However piracy is foul and I do not believe that artists should steal other people's music. I had a situation like that when Ron G got credit for producing a song for the Lost Boys. It was a sample of a song I produced called 2 Lovers. I am still in litigation against the label. They claim it is a coincidence. But I use to be associated with the same publishing company that published Ron's music. Famous Artists. But due to me trusting an employee there and handing over my tape with 16 hits. A lot of my songs I hear sampled but the way they did "Me and My Crazy World", well that was not happening. But God do not like ugly. When you steal from a child of God you have bad luck. Need I say more.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If my lawyer thought it was the right thing to do and the record company gave me independent writing and production credit I would love to sign but right now, putting out my own dvds and producing television has been my life for years.
Besides, record companies are not giving the big budgets the way they used to. Too many ungrateful artists have messed up the game and wasted time and money on garbage. Why give money when you do not have to. I would rather a company just distribute my stuff and let me control my masters. That is how it was done back in the day. But who knows. I plan on doing an album with me singing on it. Yeah, picture me singing after twenty something years. But I have been writing a lot of gospel hiphop stuff lately.

Your influences?
Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Barry White, Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield, Gamble and Huff, Normam Whitfield,Mahaila Jackson and of course Gladys Knight, David and Jimmy Ruffin and my man Nat King Cole.
Favorite spot?
Freeport, Bahamas was a spot that I fell in love with. But I really love Virginia Beach.
Equipment used:
Triton, Trinity and the Violin. My twins got me loving the recorder right now. It is like a flute. It has spiritual overtones when you blow in it. Kind of reminds me of being in Mecca watching a snake charmer when I hear it played.
