Why this name?
The music style is a mix of goth and progressive industrial. Goth, vampires, and blood go hand in hand, as does industrial with machines.. it also has a much deeper meaning than that, but i'll let you figure it out.
Do you play live?
Played many venues in New England with the band "Fierce Culture". Now in search of live performers for BloodMachine. Contact me if you'd like to audition.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, it definitely helps the "little guys" like me, trying to get exposure... but on the other hand, those poor multi-billion dollar corporations need your money to promote bands like The Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not. Most of the majors are still nazis about shit.
Band History:
BloodMachine used to go by the name "Vicious Reality" when you were just a yowlin. Ahh.. that was back in the days when i was sampling snow plows {with a borrowed sampler}, and making a keyboard sound like a sequencer with a delay pedal.. what a grand time we had.. just me and all those old, broken machines.
Your influences?
Industrial bands like Ministry, Bile, Front Line Assembly, Spahn Ranch, LeƦther Strip, Wumpscut, Insight 23, Snog. Goth Industrial bands like Razed In Black, Project Pitchfork, Rosetta Stone, Controlled Bleeding. Heavy Metal bands like Suicidal Tendencies, Prong, Voivod. Progressive Metal like Faith No More, Mr.Bungle, Physicist, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Dog Fashion Disco. Punk bands like DK, Lard, GWAR.
