Sup, my name is AZ LOCO. You may have heard of me from one of two website. The first is the site I gotta give major props to, www.BrownPride.com. Or else you may have heard of me from an online radio show called Brown And Proud Radio on www.BrownAndProudRadio.com. Either way I'm all about bringin' up my people. As a Chicano I don't see us out there in the mainstream media, so I do what I can to help.
Why this name?
I use the name AZ LOCO because my father as a kid used to be called LOCO. And me bein' crazy as I am, just a funny kinda guy down for whatever (no I'm not sayin' I'm down to fight and kill for some gang)If you ever met me and knew the real me, you know what's up. Then since I'm in the AZ, put 2 and 2 together, AZ LOCO. Plus that's the name I was known for on BrownPride.com
Do you play live?
Never played live, everything I do I doctor up in a studio(my computer).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It works wonders, it's one of the best networking devices, and it's the easiest way to get your name out there with a low budget(sometimes no budget).
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not sure, most likely I would probably stay independent, help my people. I know a major wouldn't let me do that.
Band History:
No history really, just trying this out. Just a lil demo for now.
Your influences?
My raza, for real. Chicano Rappers. Lil Rob, Baby Bash, Frost, Mr. Shadow, Akwid, Don Abusivo, Chingo Bling, the list can go one for days.
Favorite spot?
The AZ, 623 cause that's where I reside, on the Dub-S side
