Simplistic 3 piece Rock and Roll band from Moorhead Minnesota consisting of Clint Kliewer on Guitar and Lead Vocals, Blake Plankers on Bass, and Philip Zoerner on Drums.
Why this name?
The Decoys were a youth soccer team Clint used to play with.
Do you play live?
Yes. We commonly play Billiards, and we've played at the Fargo VFW, Gooseberry Park and on New Rock 94.5 twice, and on Modern Rock 103.9 once.

At one Billiards performance, an extremely intoxicated fan came on stage and wanted to hear some "Slayer" songs. We told him that the rest of our songs were all slayer covers (which they were not), and he was none the wiser. He was escorted off the stage by Billiards bouncers 2 songs later when he began to "assist" Phil by playing the drums and "singing" with Clint. As the drunkard was escorted off stage, clint commented "That's what can happen to you if you listen to too much slayer!"
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The band encourages fans to download their music and burn CDs of it for eachother.

We also believe in bootlegging live shows. As long as the bootlegger gets a copy of the recording to us so we can hear it :)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, if I could sleep with their daughter.
Band History:
The Decoys were formed by Clint Kliewer and Blake Plankers in October of 2003. After playing a few shows as just Guitar/Vox and Drums, Philip Zoerner joined the band as the new Drummer and Blake switched to Bass.
