Zach Bardon is a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter who writes songs covering a wide variety of genres. He seamlessly fuses world rhythms and forms with pop sensibilities, creating a style he likes to call "cosmopolitan pop."
Why this name?
Well, it's my name.
Do you play live?
Sure. I try to do at least two shows per year. I'll do more if you want.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well first of all, it means you are reading this. It means you get to listen to my music, even though you may be very far away indeed. It means that even though I'm far from wealthy, I can produce some tunes and slap them online and have instant worldwide distribution. I'm a fan.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Way too many factors in that one. I'm going to give you a tentative "probably not." But I might sign for the distribution/marketing.
Your influences?
Vocally I've been influenced a lot by the jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole, the English folk like Coldplay and Delirious, and some other great singers like Sting, Leigh Nash, and Kevin Max.
Anything else...?
