Why this name?
It was a anagram that i had mispelled but i liked it so kept it
Do you play live?
I do sumtimes but havent ahd any shows only bedroom performances
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Theres alot of talk of mp3's ruining the music industry. I think its rubbish myself people need to realise sales were dropping before mp3's because of the simple fact that the industrie funds one hit wounders instead of backing something that might bring repeated sales rather than some one off pop crap. It seems smaller labels such as warp seem to be doing well because they dont fund one of hits they back people with consitant talent.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Most likely if someone would have me. I mean a chance to write music and get paid for it would be great.
Band History:
I was originally a guitarist/bass player played in all kinds of bands (wake up rufus - a ska band, 6SS - a metal band, jazz n funk bands etc). I got into electronica and decided id mess around and start making tunes on my computer. all the stuff is done in my bedroom with very limited equipment but its fun.
Your influences?
People like Aphex twin, prefuse 73, machine drum, radiohead, bjork, clouddead, the marz volta, telefon tel aviv, four tet, Smashing pumpkins, Mr Bungle and many many more
Favorite spot?
anywhere with a nice view and good atmosphere and maybe with friends or loved ones (sickbags located behind the chair)
Equipment used:
I have a Korg Prophecy, Novation KS rack, Boss GX700 effects unit, A Les Paul, Yamaha APX 4a and a multitude of software sequncers and synth emuilators
Anything else...?
Right now im trying to make electronic music a little more human. i love electronic music but i sometimes think its a little to emotionless and so i aim to put a little bit of soul into it sort of avante garde electronica i guess, not everyones cup of tea im sure but why not give it a go eh?
