I am not technically a band. I'm a one man show DJ/Producer. My inspiration comes from everywhere. Don't listen without an open mind because the music is not main stream and may be an acquired taste for some. But enjoy.
Why this name?
My Alias comes from cueing records during an DJ set. The name will probably change.
Do you play live?
I recently gained a residency at New Amsterdam, a club near the UT campus. This has become alot of fun and I am loving it, extra money, and it's just fun.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows for no names such as myself to get my music out into the public and who knows one day someone important may hear it or I may hear someone listening to my music in their car.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending on the contract because they always try to screw the little man.
Band History:
Dj'ed for 5 years and began producing and that's about the jest of it.
Your influences?
BB King, Art Tatum, Beethoven, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Dj Funk, Paul Okenfold, Three Six Mafia, Atmosphere, Goldie, Dillinja, Nas, Boards of Canada, Secret Frequency Crew, MF Doom, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Notorius B.I.G., ATB, Tall Paul, Rob Swift, P-Trix, DJ Q-Bert, Bassment Jaxx, Metallica, Mobb Deep, Alchemist, The Neptunes, Timbaland, J-Rocc, Dr. Dre, Cypress Hill, Ice-T, EPMD, Jurassic 5, Sublime, my life, my close friends (Jhulio, my Cousin, Joe Edwards, Seth aka Oscar, Huffanaker, the Riles man, Russell the Love Muscle, Sara, Kellie, Amy, my Amy, Matt, Andy Kruger, da Bizzler), Montgomery Village, the news on tv, war, the kids at work, Slum Village, Incubus, the Black Keys, Tool, a Perfect Circle, Maynard James Keenan, Rage Against the Machine, Dialated Peoples, Snoop Dogg, CCR, Jimi Hendrix, Dj Icey, Carl Cox, the Beta Band, the Gorillaz, the Descendants, Bob Marley, the guitarists at the bar, my boy Drew (best guitarist I know), movies (City of God, Menace to Society, the Godfather, Requim for a Dream, Pie, Trainspotting), Sevendust, Slipknot, Memphis and Texas rap, Atlanta, the South, bluegrass, and the list goes on.
Favorite spot?
Atlanta. I am a bar man so in Knoxville it's Hannah's, O'Charley's on the strip, and Charlie Pepper's. And of course Neyland Stadium.
Equipment used:
My tables are Stanton Str-80's with a Numark DM3001 mixer, but it isn't hooked up to my production program on my computer yet. For production I have the Reason 2.5 program with a M-Audio midiman Radium keyboard.
Anything else...?
Listen, send opinions love or hate, and if you have some music you think I might like or appreciate, as you can tell from my influences i am pretty open to music, tell me where to hear it.
