Cloud City Boyz started out as a four person group in 1998. Smokey and Lil Roi Boi freestyled alot but wrote very little. Saint Cloud went from being a midsized city to a metropolis in a matter of a few years and thats when the hip-hop scene really took off in the city. By that time CCB had expanded into a hip-hop group with six members but only three that rapped now including JDP. CCB continued there work and it seemed they were making progress. In late 2000 the group had not released any new songs for months and slowed to a crawl. Tragety struck in the summer of 2001 when Smokey's father died and he slipped into a deep deppression. The songs that followed his fathers death were deep suicidal tracks with nothing but hoplesness. The other members of CCB soon helped to get Smokey back on track and the group started releasing harder tracks and seemed to become stronger. In 2004 Demize entered Cloud City Boyz after moving to MN from Cali. Smokey and Demize clicked and started makin major moves and in early 2005 Crime Dogg from 612 Records stumbled upon the CCB website. Crime Dogg pursued the CCB and they started collaborating, the succes to follow told the story. After having a daughter Lil Roi Boi had slowed his roll in CCB hip-hop scene but was slowly getting back into the game. By late 2006 the CCB was back to full strength with LRB Demize and Smokey running away with the STC rap scene, they starting performing live and the name "Cloud City Boyz" was solidified in the Hip-Hop world. In early 2007 they had done many shows performing with other local groups such as Distant Strangers, Tew Tone, Big Brother, Crew Boyz and more. Their popularity grew fast in the STC metro area so they set their sites higher shooting for performances in the Twin Cites. They have opened for larger acts such as, "J-Kwon and Meech. In the summer of 07' Smokey and Demize signed the Contracts with 612 Records and started working on their first album out of the lable "Steady Grindin" Demize soon strayed away from the Cloud City Boyz and tried to pursue a solo career. Through the termoil CCB and Demize were able to salvage their friendship and continue making killer collabs and working together. CCB kept moving and linked up with Tew Tone and DS. The three groups labled themselves the Kings Of The Cloud, and are now working on a album which should be released later in the year. In July Lil Roi Boi officially signed with 612 Records. The CCB are now working on "The 4th Dimension" and should have in finished by 2009. CCB and 612 Records continue success and are working hard towards there goal.

An old quarry way back in the woods that we call "Bill Cosbey" someone paitned a miral of him on the granite-hense the name, but it's hidden away from the city traffic, problems all that shit.
