Welcome to my page! I am Nice Krispy, or Chris Stephens to some, and I’m a 25 year old hip-hop artist from Angier, North Carolina. I’ve been making hip-hop since late 2003 and I’ve met a lot of very talented people that have influenced my music greatly. I like to make creative music with positive content and good people. Most of my music is produced by Mr. J, a gifted producer from Germany, and we strive to create quality material that appeals to vast audiences.
Currently I am in school full-time at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina where I am a history major with aspirations of possibly becoming a teacher (gotta keep my options open!). My goal as an artist is exclusively to make good music and allow people to hear what I have to say while understanding the effort that I put into my work. So turn your speakers up and Discover the Groove! Your support is completely appreciated!

Why this name?
Nice Krispy...I was given this name by a guy I used to work with and it stuck.
Do you play live?
I record at home and do open mics every now and then.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I love the internet and it has shaped me into the artist that I am today. It has made me better. I love the idea of allowing all my music to be downloaded for free. Music is a powerful tool of inspiration for many people and I feel that it is best shared via the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe...However, I believe the independant labels are really thriving right now. For now I'm cool with just being a free agent and making music when I want to.
Band History:
Well I have collaborated with many people over the years. More recently I have teamed up with Mr. J, White Owl Bundy, Infinite Skillz, Cal aka Nom, DJ KO, Headcase, E-Dub, Noble One, Lady E, Brandi Ann, and DZK.
Your influences?
Right now my biggest influence would have to be Phonte's solo work and his work with Rapper Big Pooh in the two-man show Little Brother. Sam Cooke, Al Green, Bobby Womack, Teddy Pendergrass, Curtis Mayfield, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Santana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, B.B. King, Llynnard Skkyynard, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and The Foreign Exchange are also some of my influences. I listen to pretty much anything and everything to stay sharp and stay aware of the many aspects of life that can be expressed through music.
Favorite spot?
Angier, NC. I'm a hometown dude.
