Bass Cadet creates Psy-trance in a suburb in Melbourne, Australia and releases music to the world. Music production and performing has been a major part of my life ever since I was a child. I played my dad's guitar when I was 5 and something about felt right. Wrote music and played guitar in bands for many years then went to a rave party and everything changed for the better. Started DJing under the name 'Psy Corrumba' and now writting under the name 'Bass Cadet'.

Why this name?
I've been called a space cadet before, and I love bass. They merged together so well I thought.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3's have changed music by giving artists a chance to be heard on a global basis and giving control back to the artist instead of being locked into a recording contract with a company who keep most of the profit and give the artist a 3% cut.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would have to depend on the deal...
Your influences?
Astral Projection, Hallucinogen, X-Dream, Joti Sidhu and other psy-trance and Goa artists.
Also, when I meet people and get to know them, that inspires me, a transfer of energy takes place and I create music from that.
