I am an avid keyboardist and composer. My style is primarily New Age, Film Music, and Ambient, with subtle influences from Jazz, Rock, and Techno.
Why this name?
It is my name.
Do you play live?
Very rarely. This might change in the future, but my style of music is not in huge demand at the bars. I do plan to do some performances at local malls, in local coffee houses, and other venues receptive to my music. But I am waiting until I have my CD available.
If you make it big..?
I'll quite my day job! :)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is redefining a broken industry. I am a major advocate of changing the music business from the stranglehold it has now, to an open market where all artists have a realistic chance of having their music heard. The Internet is the greatest revolution for musicians.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would really depend on the contract and terms. I own all of the rights to my music, I have a degree in Business Management, and I already have my own business, A.N.A. Soundscapes. If a label were to approach me, I would probably be a pain, but if it were mutually beneficial, I.E. I retained all rights and creative control, then I would consider it.
Band History:
I have been playing keyboards for 14 years, and composing orginal works for over 10 years. I have been involved in several bands from Classic Rock, to Acoustic Folk. My ultimate passion is to create and perform my music for others, and to work on film/TV scores and soundtracks.
