Hi Mark
Just been listening to "I'll Be Waiting Still". What a lovely song. Draws you in very gently. Your singing voice has such warmth and the guitar playing is nicely understated. Great stuff!
Regards Geoff
Wow. "I'll be Waiting, Still" is absolutley amazing. Its so beautifull. Superb guitar playing and excellent vocals. When the harmonies come in its incredible...the harmonies are very crosby Stills and Nash. But despite that your still very much original and individual. Youre Incredible! Keep up the good work!
Hi Mark, thank you for coming back to my site. Thats cool you once lived here. I have several friends that are attending and have graduated from Brooks. The mix of musical influences is broad here. The majority of my music is inspired just from the magic of this area (mountains and ocean) As a instrumentalist, I try to paint a story or emotion through melodies, and mere notes. Ive recently found my dream addition, a virturoso violinist for some of my songs. We performed Searching for Notes at Marjoree Luke Theature for a Tsunami fund raiser, and brought tears to many eyes. One day, I hope to produce a concert with dancers and multi-media, in hopes to bring across the inspirations of my music. I truely love your compositions, and arrangements, they paint landscapes. Hey, that sounds like a new songtitle
Sincerely, Andrew
Hey, came over to check you out...good stuff man!! And I love the back ground photo...Where's it taken? Anyway, Keep playin brudda Man
Hi Mark, your so funny sometimes, you got to number two in the charts cause you're talented !!, I got to number one by pure luck, or a bloody miracle lol
'Three Reasons' is smashing with the cello, well done. I can even hear flute or pan pipes in the instrumental inbetweeny bits, what do you think? It's a great song and no doubt you'll be knocking me of my no. 1 slot soon :o(
but I've got some super glue at the ready so I won't budge easily lol Take care, stay in touch, Dawn x
Hello again Mark, saw your new song 'Three Reasons' in the charts and went for a listen. I like it very much and the lyrics are great and the guitar, smashing.....but I expected that anyway :o), How are you doing? working on more songs? I'm doin' no bad in the charts at the moment myself, can't believe it lol Anyway take care, stay in touch, Dawn..
Hi Mark, thanks again for your kind words. Your new melody is lovely and I'm looking forward to the lyrics. I would help but I've never tried writing lyrics from a guys point of view before, can it be either point of view?? I'm working on 5 songs at the moment, plenty of ideas but nothing coming together, and only have the odd verse but can't seem to complete them, maybe you could help me too? It's driving me nuts as I've been trying to do them for months. :o)
Take care, stay in touch, Dawn

Phillip;

Thank you for the listens, your support, and your kind words! I wish you the best of success with your film-making, and hope to read about your successes at upcoming film festivals. I appreciate the exposure that "I'll be Waiting, Still" will receive as part of your most recent effort. Who knows, maybe there are more projects in the future?

Best,
Mark,

Your music really has inspired me in my own work as a writer and film maker. I listen to it a lot when I'm working.
"I'll Be Waiting, Still" speaks a lot to me about the hardest thing in life that we all have to do: Let someone make their own mistake, get hurt, learn. Brilliant stuff. I hope to hear more from you in the future.

Phillip
Hi Mark, my close friend Bruce Golish http://www.brucegoldish.com told me I would get mixed perceptions on the "Chameleon" theme. It all started with a press review I recieved after playing some shows in San Luis Obispo, CA. The one writing the review noticed I use many different open/alternative tunings, as well as styles..and was having some difficulty classifing my genre. I told him I'm considered a fingerstyle guitarist (which really is a term familiar with guitarists) Well, he couldnt pigeon hole me into any particular genre..and thats when the term Chameleon started. I guess, it represents my ability to change my "sound". Now, for the word virtuoso...thats alot of weight for me to carry. Im just a guitarist who's been extreemly focused these past few years. Thank you again..half the battle of making music is having people to listen to your work.
Andrew
Hi Mark, Like the flow of your compositions. Advice on Rio Chili, find a harmonic, hit a bar at either the 5th or 7th fret, then either a base or treble run..Other than that, its a nice fingerstyle piece..has that de Grassi feel. For an example,,check out "Searching for Notes" at my site.
Take care, Andrew
