***JANUARY 1, 2005: I'm goin' global, just like a multi-national conglomerate! I'll be visiting Spain for 10 weeks, followed by a cool 4 week tour of Europe! Holla!***

Benihana is, simply, just me. I don't subscribe to "bling-bling" or "six model chicks/six bottles of Crys" rappin' (No diss to Jay-Z). My heart is connected to my pen. What you hear is my introspections in the form of poetic flow over hip-hop music. I'm not gonna fill you up with brash boasting or trite tracks about weed smoke or robbin' cats -- turn on whatever hot single is currently spinnin' over your local radio station's airwaves for that. What I will give you is "the truth, and nothing but so help me God."
Why this name?
The restaurant? The skateboarding trick? Nah. Mostly, I just stole it from some popular kid in my high school.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
"Thanks to Napster I'm known to Japan, Austrailia and Spain; for rockin' microphones and givin' praise to God's name (Sup the Chemist)." I'm not worldwide/intercontinental, but the advent of internet file swapping allows me to be on without a major label deal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course I'd sign. I work hard to condense the truth into 16 bits and 16 bars.
Your influences?
The greatest musical influences I've had come from cats most of y'all never heard of. Big ups to Talib, Common, and Gift of Gab (Blackalicious) for bein' real and killin' CD racks worldwide. On top of that, Brother Ali, Atmosphere, Japhia Life, Signtist, and Murs are at the top of my influential power list.
Favorite spot?
You know I love Killer Cali. I lived in Denver for the past six months. For the next five, I'll be in Europe -- mostly Spain -- cruisin' about.
Anything else...?
Holla at me! Let me know what you think about, well, anything. I'd love to rap with y'all about this n' that.
