After travelling to Africa in the late 60's, the late Jan Channel returned to the U.S. and married her college sweet-heart, Charlie. They started a family, and blessed their first two sons with Arabic names. Salim is the name they chose for me.

My music is influeced by emotions and the need to release penned up energy. I admire the creative influences of all artist who share the best (and worst) of their life experiences accurately. My father, Charlie Channel has been an influential force in my life.
