"Dreamy goth rock in the vein OF H.I.M, Evanescence, and The Cure."- Derek Sivers, CDBaby.com.
On the heels of the highly successful 2003 release LIFELESS VALENTINE, opening for Evanescence, Static-X, performing for MTV’s “Rock The Vote” and appearing on the VANS WARPED TOUR 2003 and 2004 in support of their latest disc NEW RELIGION on Myseria Records, LYLAH are quickly becoming notorious in the underground music scene as leaders of their “Dream Rock” movement.
The first full length LYLAH release NEW RELIGION includes "Bullets When We Kiss," "Drown," the video "Heaven In Your Eyes," and boasts a cover of "Love Song" by The Cure. Through years of constant independent touring, a rapidly building fan base of fans who gravitate toward their "Dream Rock" sound, and a list of rock luminaries such as the Newlydeads, Murderdolls, Bert McCrackin of The Used, Juliette Lewis, and DJ Ashba who admire the band, LYLAH have been tapped by many publications and industry insiders as "The Cure for a new generation."

Why this name?
It's derived from the greek term "Lyla" - "Goddess of the Night".
Do you play live?
We play anywhere and everywhere! Started touring when I was 16 and I LOVE IT! Every moment is special when you are expressing feelings musically and people are responding to that. Highlights are opening for SEVENDUST, AFI, WARPED TOUR 2004, EVANESCENCE and STATIC-X.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In various applications it changes the rules of the game. It's hurting the big boys and leveling the playing field for the little guy, but as you grow as an artist, you depend on sales. I think it is a great tool for exposure and hope that fans will use it to expose themselves to new artists and then support their favorite artists by purchasing their work, so that they may continue to perform, write, and record for your pleasure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Major, Indie, makes no difference to me. Money is one thing, but belief in your roster and artists means more to me. I will take our music anywhere that I feel the entity is concerned in building career artists, cultivating them musicially and financially into a major musical force, and all along the way believing in my art and passion for it.
Your influences?
The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Motley Crue
Favorite spot?
Hollywood, CA....The one city I feel I'm home when I arrive. ;) As a scene, it's as dillusional and nocturnal as I.
Anything else...?
Shoot for the moon so you land in the stars......And, quit your day jobs you fukkin' robots! ;)
