SoundClick artist: Drillabeats - Beatsmith from Barbados

Drillabeats represents the Barbadian contingent.This is not a group.I work alone when making beats. It's not that I don't want a partner, it's just I don't have one.I do the rap thing at times but this site is for the beats cause without the beat it's just the acapella. I produce for Nokumusic(Knock-um-music) and a few other artist and each of them pull something different from me so I have no particular style, so to speak.(but I can be identified) I Get Down.

Why this name?

Drilla is just the one-word spelling for Da Real Uhh! Try saying it and see.

Do you play live?

I've done a couple live shows around the country.Yup! I love it. No special moments.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Of course it does change the music industry.It is where artist get promoted and in other cases robbed.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the deal is good and we both benefit from it, then I would.

Band History:

I started out doing beats with my mouth as a kid and sometime between then and now I learnt that they are programs that can allow me to take a breath.

Your influences?

My first influence is my family. My uncles held it down back in their day, then I came along.Timbaland is my mentor from now until music stops.Then any other thing that sounds good.

Favorite spot?

Guyana was good!I'm always in the studio!
