The Lemons were a short-lived noise/blues-rock band from Maidstone.
Why this name?
At the time, it was super-cool to have a band name that began with 'The', and our singer really likes Lemon Jelly, so it came from that.
Do you play live?
No, we're far too unorganised for that.
Band History:
At a New Year's Eve party which marked the line between 2002 and 2003, Liam and Thomas decided to start a rock n roll band, with Thomas on guitar, and Liam on vocals. After speaking to our good friend Patrick, he agreed to be in it, also playing guitar. After a little bit of practising, The Lemons recorded their first demo, a release which became known as 'Groovey', featuring two tracks: 'Nuthouse Blues' and 'Groovey'. The demo was recorded with a single microphone, and amps which spread from the room with the computer to the bedroom on the other side of the house, turned up super-loud.

Later the band got another friend, Dan, to play bass for them, as well as a girl called Daisy who Dan and Liam had recently met to be a third guitarist, although really in true rock n roll style, it was really to take advantage of the fact that she had a great house for practising, and she made us food while we did it. Unfortunately, the weekly routine practises got lazier and lazier until The Lemons decided to call it a rest.
