Mechanical Stars
Nova11....the electronica/rap/rock/punk fusion band. We focus mainly on Electronica, but at times we team up with other bands to become genre-benders. Our hits include: Rising Storm, Mechanical Stars, Stacy's Mom Meets Pop (Remix).
Why this name?
I chose it because at the time we played music, we were 11, and we wanted something astronomical. Nova11 was born.
Do you play live?
Nova: I do drum for some other bands...and sometimes i turntable.
Dymo: Yeah....you drum for MY other band, Stylus Space.
Nova: So. Now, lets do special moments.
Dymo: Fine. We had one when i played guitar live at the nursing home, remember?
Nova: Ya, i fixed your amp, equalized it and helped you. Then, we played Louie Louie with trumpet and trombone. You messed up.
Dymo: ....

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Nova11: It allows alot more illegal activity to be born ( ick) but it also allows alot more popularity for small, relativly unoticed bands like us.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nova: Of course, for our home recording studio is pretty bad...a tiny room with 3 computers...a mic, keyboard, synth, guitars, and drum set. And...
Dymo: ... we play at my house also, in MY recording studio.
Nova: But, yes, we'd even sign with a small label, as our un-registered label Nova Productions could lead us to trouble.

Authors note: This is a relativly old bio, and unfortunaly N11 did not have enough time to write another. So, at this point Dymo wasent with him yet.
Nova11 is an aspiring, young, DJ/ Music Artist. He breaks the mold of Dance/Electronica by adding some rock-type vocals. Nova11's first album, The Nova Project is being developed. What's so unique about this dance freak you ask? Nova likes to mix it up, making rock-and-pop songs with some down low dance beats. He even adds some rap into a few of his songs. Variety is a virtue in his world. When Nova was young, he created the internet pop sensation called "Stacy's Mom Meet's Pop". He says:" SMMP was an experiment, to see how well two or more songs mixed, edit them a bit, and speed them up. So, you were hearing chipmunk voices, bass beats, and turntables."
Nova currently resides in two estates in Iowa and Wisconsin. He has preformed live only once.

Equipment used:
Tons of stuff...anything that would sound good. We optimize ourselves and place our sounds onto various programs, Audacity, and ACID to name a few. We have Synths, Turntables, keyboards, drums, guitars, and any other stuff.
