Tranquility in Pain
Serene is just a name I go by. The songs I create are different stages of my life that I just try to convey in music.
Why this name?
Serene is a name I've taken. I'm anything but that, but I love irony...
Do you play live?
I've yet to play a live show as Serene.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet give people from all over the world a chance to experiance new music from elsewhere. What could be better then that?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't know, I want to say I doubt it, but it's hard to say if the situation presented itself. I'm really pro indie label tho.
Band History:
I've been involved in music for many years now. I've played in several bands that have gone absolutly nowhere, and I wouldn't trade any of them for anything. Now I'm trying to salavage my musical life.
Your influences?
I started out with the obvious, METAL, but I listen to so many other forms of music and they all influence me one way or another. I would say jazz and industrial are big influences.
Favorite spot?
Baltimore, yet I'm from Michigan. Figure that out.
Equipment used:
I've created most of my beats on Acid Pro 3.0, as of late I've been playing manually with a Roland V-Drums club kit. I use an Alesis QS6.2 for my keyboards, a Honer bass, and my other appendage, a B.C.Rich Warlock I've had for over 12 years.
