Lease: Leasing a beat grants you commercial use of it. You can use it on whatever you want as long as it's not released as or part of an exclusive product. Leasing doesn't grant sole usage, many people may lease the same beat.

Buy: Buying a beat grants you exclusive rights to it once you purchase - though it may have been leased before, it won't be after. You are free to, and even advised to use these beats for albums only.

Album: Technically defining an album apart from a mixtape revolves around the fact it is a totally exclusive work with 100% legally licensed beats, samples and lyrics. Typically, other defining factors of an album include any work which is soundscanned, professionally pressed and/or distributed for sale in stores with a barcode.
