For The last couple of years, I've been working to bring hip-hop back to it's original form... FUN! Doin' it because you love it gives you good enough reason to be apart of music. Doin' it to make people gain an impression of you is the wrong way to go about it. Now everybody is about jewelry, cars, clothes and money. Nobody sounds like they love the music anymore; Hip-Hop's dying!It seems like, nobody wants to be great anymore, they just want to be famous and on TV. But what about the music? And I think that's where I come in.
Why this name?
I chose this name, because it's my actual name. Everybody else wants to be killa this, and Killa that. which is cool if that's you.It's not me,I'm just Jai.
Do you play live?
No I don't play Live, I'm a Producer/MC. I really don't want to MC, but it's helpin' me get my name out there!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it helps more than it hurts. I think the internet is the reason a lot of people are being heard! Also the reason a lot of Albums were "Copped or Flopped."
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Duh! Because they'll help my voice be heard, and help make me apart of Hip-Hop History.
Your influences?
I have hundreds but, since I'm mainly a producer, my influences are Timbaland, The Neptunes, Dr.Dre, Just Blaze, Kanye West, and Myself lol! (j/k)
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Home, cause there's nothing to do except think. It may not be good socially, but it's good for your mind. You have to have time to get you thoughts together; and a place where you know almost everybody and feel the most comfort, is the best place to do that!
