...coming from the dirty midwest.....where there is absolutly NOTHING going on....comes a sign of hope...(formerly known as Anti-Everything)survival RATE 0 has created a diverse and uniqe sound, a 4 piece with 4 different influences coming together to form a band no one can resits....were not just another "metal band".... we are the evolution of "rock and roll"!!
Why this name?
It is more than just a name, it fits our style and outlook very well. We all have beliefs, some have religions, some are just plain f***ED IN THE HEAD. We stand for nothing but our music and our fans. We are against all that oppose to originality and indifference.
Do you play live?
We play as often as possible. we love the keg party scene, bar scene (21+), we also enjoy playing for benefits and all ages venues aswell. Hell, send us an e-mail and we may play in YOUR basement!!! (not bullshit'n)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
shit, without the internet, it would be almost impossible to get noticed in these parts! It allows us to reach people all over the world, because where we dwell, nobody knows, or even cares to know. somebody send us a bus, so we can ride...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
as of this time during our journey, NO. Were not ready for that drama just yet, were a little over a year old, we got to build our forces up for the war on metal! Not to say we don't think were good enough, just not prepared yet.
Band History:
well, most of the music has been written and practiced by both guitar players (josh, jason) for a long time. Jerrod (drums) joined in sometime around early spring 04, they finaly found a vocalist (ozman) that everyone felt comfortable with around may 04. Since then it has been a constant song writting process, and playing any show allowed!
Your influences?
our influences are so diverse... we all agree that Sytem of a Down is an influence, Slipknot makes us want to write material that will drive you into the nearest pole! Rage Against the Machine is an influece to write with meaning... you can hear some punk influence in a few of our cuts, but both guitarist are anti-punk, so go figure that one!
Favorite spot?
hmmmm... it sucks here in deadcatur, we like to get out and play ANYWHERE, just to be heard... so our fav. spot is on that stage, floor, or piece of wood they call a stage!
