The name BA-22 came from Brian.Forge's experiance in the military. the BA-22 is a style of parachute and this project was something for Brian.Forge to fall back on when he felt he needed a break from the project ZinForge.

BA-22 was created as a side project for Brian.Forge. Having been involved with ZinForge and after much evolution, felt the tone of ZinForge was not quite everything he wanted to do with music. Thus, he sought a different form of expression with a new project, BA-22.

Musical influences gear from the aggressive dance floor EBM-masters Funker Vogt to the tripped out dark vibes of Velvet Acid Christ and continue with projects such as Skinny Puppy, Hocico, Wumpscut, Suicide Commando, In Strict Confidence, Das Ich, etc
