the stockyards of chicago is:

[*] james brooks and a computer

[*] a place in illinois where lots of cows die

[*] a reference to a really awesome paragraph in a farewell to arms
Why this name?
it was the best i could do.
Do you play live?
once, i got up with a guitar in front of a bunch of people at a coffee shop open mic night and played two power chords over and over while singing something about drugs tasting good. i still cringe at the memory.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it destroys the music industry. it will destroy the film industry. it will destroy the software industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
not like it matters, because they would never sign one with me.
Band History:
i have a guitar and a computer.
Your influences?
neil young, wolf eyes, uncle tupelo, hank williams, la monte young, buena vista social club, phil niblock, whitehouse
Favorite spot?
i only know highways
Equipment used:
sonic foundry acid 4.0, a cheap les paul knock off made by harmony in standard tuning without a high E string, a harmonica that plays in C, a radio shack microphone, stomper hyperion, fruity loops, random objects lying around my apartment
