Why this name?
It's My Name! I was named after my Grandfather,Patrick Bernard Walsh.(He Represented Australia in Rugby Union in 1904,Then Rugby League for Australia on the 1908/09 Tour of Great Britain.)
Do you play live?
The Gypsy Bar(now gone)in Civic(Canberra) were my favourite gigs. Now The Pot Belly in Belconnen(Canberra).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Musicians can get their Music listened to & evaluated by a large audience without the reliance on traditional record companies who can make or break you with the stroke of a pen.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, Depending on the Fine Print.
Band History:
The first band was a Pub band, playing Friday and Saturday nights in a Bar that was an Australian version of the Redneck Bar in the Blues Brothers movie(a steep learning curve).
After the band split, I played in an Acoustic Duo with Megan(from the band),we played at various places including A.N.U.
I started playing Slide Guitar Bluesharp and Flute.and then spent 12 Months in Tasmania playing Solo(Acoustic Guitar/Vocals /Bluesharp)
Moved back to Canberra, played at various local places including the Gypsy Bar,The Pot Belly, The Wig and Pen and 1999s Amnesty International Candle Day Launch.
Lately getting into recording more Guitar Driven Electric Rock.(apart from the drum machine, I play all the instruments on my recordings
