Garden of Souls is in line to bring the art of music back . . .
The band will look to shake the foundations of what the record companies and the public like to call rock. Garden of Souls is, at it's heart, a Genre-mixing Alt Rock Band that blends Blues, Jazz, Acoustic and World Music into a mood-swinging spectrum of light and darkness that is sure to touch the soul. The band has released 2 CDs now (Wake Up and Screaming Down From Heaven), both to impressively positive reviews. The band is currently towards the end of their studio work for the 3rd CD, Lost Souls, due out in April/May of 2008.

Why this name?
The name has been kicking around for a few years now, but the bands we were in didn't quite fit the bill. It was an obvious choice because there are so many people that are involved in this project and also because it implies a depth, which we think, musically, the project definitely has.
Do you play live?
Yes, we play live as much as possible! We've played 3 or 4 Jeff Buckley Tribute Concerts now that have had some very amazing moments and the shows just keep getting better and better.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's definitely changing the industry in a big way. There are so many different ways to get music now. We don't think it's going to kill the record stores just yet, but it's certainly going to be interesting to see what happens in the next 10 years . . .
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes! Bring it on!
Band History:
Our history is multi-facetted. We could go on forever on the deep history of the members and what not. But the bottom line is we have these people that were looking to create a group focused on the human condition and making passionate music that people could relate and sink into.
Your influences?
Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, Chris Cornell, Sting, I Mother Earth, Nina Simone, Dead Can Dance, Black Crowes, Peter Murphy, Tragically Hip, Satchel, Brad, The Police, Jane's Addiction, Incubus, Ours, The Cult, Muse.
Favorite spot?
Our favorite spot is the one that's about 70 degrees and sunny
