its able to spreed fast with out the hassle of trying to get out there by having connections but it has its price but reguardless of it all everyone can hear your music upfront and for others trying to get out there you never know what record companys are lookin for in an artist

plus they dont have to hassle with demos and stuff they can just hear you at the click of a mouse not to mention the fact that most sites are allowing independant artists to sell there music
