Hello, I am the band!

I'm a singer-songwriter and I'm a bit of a control freak, hence I do everything myself - playing the intruments, writing the lyrics, singing, recording, you name it!

I recorded the latest of these songs on my PC but the older ones were recorded on a 4 track tape recorder (I'm planning to re-record some of them with the new improved technology - if only I can find the time!)

Why this name?

The band name is my name (exciting eh?)

Do you play live?

I occasionally get up and play at parties etc, but have never played a formal gig (I don't have a band so it makes it kinda difficult)

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I think it opens up a whole new world of music and enables you to try stuff that you might not otherwise get to hear. If you were to judge the current state of music from the single charts (in the UK anyway) you'd think that manufactured pop acts were the only thing that people listened to. But have a look at this website and you can see that there are plenty of unsigned artists doing very interesting stuff.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes, if only to make a living from music and be able to devote all my time and energy to writing and recording music.

Band History:

I started writing snippets of music in the late 90's but didn't really take it seriously until I bought a four track recorder in late 2003. I use a keyboard for my drums and bass and occasional piano and play all the guitar parts. I started devoting more and more time to writing original material early in 2004 and the results of these sessions can be found on this website...

Brian Wilson, The Beatles, Grandaddy, Super Furry Animals, White Stripes, REM, Pixies, Flaming Lips.

Favorite spot?

I live in Manchester which I happen to think is one of the finest cities in the world. But I also have a soft spot for Liverpool (for its football and the Fab Four)

Equipment used:

I use 2 Yamaha keyboards, Electric Guitar, and Acoustic Guitar.
