Michael Borkson
I play acoustic guitar/singer/songwriter; I also play 12-string electric guitar (to get that "Byrds sound")and a little keyboard---from the Boston, Mass. area.I wrote all the songs uploaded here except the ones I've notated as cover songs. I like classic rock from the 1960s-70s; main influences are the Moody Blues, the Byrds , and Bob Dylan and I attempt to write in that style.I have recorded several CDs in the studio with a backup band-- drums, bass, keys.I play in free-form settings such as open mics and as a busker in the Boston subway.
Also, being against war and social injustice, I have written songs on those subjects and have performed at some organized protests and events. If you want a free CD , just send me a message here and I'll send you one--music should be free......All the songs on this page are free to download.
